2022 Latchkey Kid

Latchkey kid is a term that's often used to describe children who must stay at home alone taking care of themselves for some part of the day. Usually, they're the children of working parents. Early in our winemaking journey and focused on our day jobs, we let our first Counoise sit in barrel without much supervision. Despite being left home in front of the television unattended, this single varietal showed remarkable independence and resilience with fresh, bright character and a vibrant personality. As latchkey kids growing up and with our early Counoise parenting experience, we thought the name was only fitting.
